Our COVID-19 Guidelines and Updates
We want to assure our customers that Busy Bee Cleaning Company is taking the current public health pandemic very seriously. Our Cleaner-Safer approach to cleaning is designed to produce the best outcomes, emphasizing the safety and health of our team members and the clients we serve.
We believe our safety protocols, which include the use of effective and eco-friendly cleaning agents, are industry-leading. We use a germicide that has been proven to kill 99.99% of germs associated with COVID-19, MRSA, SARS, and other viruses. But, in an abundance of caution, we decided that even though we fell under the category of essential services, we needed to take a step back. We took the time to ensure that we had the very best cleaning processes and safety procedures in place and provided additional training and resources to our staff.
Keeping your home safe and clean is more important than ever as we all try to manage the COVID-19 situation. In light of this, we would like to share the precautions that we are taking to keep both our team members and our customers safe from infection.
What We’re Doing To Keep You Safe:
Our team members will wear masks, gloves, and shoe covers at all times while cleaning your home. We will also be providing additional supplies of hand sanitizer while encouraging frequent hand washing with soap and water.
We have also made updates to our sick leave policies to accommodate for the spread of this virus. When our team members report to work every morning, we scan their temperatures and have them fill out a brief survey. Through this survey, they disclose if they have been symptomatic or have been exposed to anyone who is symptomatic or who has tested positive. We will send any employees home who are unwell or have been in contact with someone testing positive and encourage anyone feeling symptomatic to stay home.
When Technicians clock-in each morning our system will ask the following questions:
Is your temperature over 99°F
Are you or anyone else in your household sick
Have you been in contact with anyone who has COVID-19
If they answer affirmatively to any of these questions, they will not be able to clock-in for the day and the office will be alerted
Our cleaning teams will also be placing a particular emphasis on sanitizing and disinfecting high touch surfaces, including:
- Toilet handles, seats and lids
- Handles of cabinets, microwaves, ovens, and refrigerators
- Doorknobs
- Light switches
- Handrails
Protecting Against Cross-Contamination
Our cleaning teams are trained to meet Busy Bee’s high standards of cleaning. We always take extra precautions when cleaning your home during cold and flu season because of the higher risk of illness. We are taking that same mentality as the coronavirus remains active. Busy Bee Cleaning Company is a leader in the house cleaning industry — developing and implementing cleaning processes that carefully remove harmful matter from the home and dispose of it responsibly, minimizing any chance of cross-contamination.
We use a variety of products and cleaning tools that have been proven effective in killing germs. For example, we use PerfectCLEAN microfiber wipes and mops. These are hospital-grade cleaning tools that remove organic matter from surfaces and hold it until laundering. Other cleaning cloths may just smear organic matter around or spread it to other surfaces, which leads to cross-contamination. PerfectCLEAN microfiber is made with a patented antimicrobial technology that kills germs the cloth captures and further reduces any cross-contamination. These cloths are color-coded to ensure that cloths used in bathrooms are not used in other rooms of the house. All the used clothes are bagged and returned to our office for laundering. We only bring freshly-laundered clothes into your home.
How You Can Help:
- We encourage you to wear a mask while our team members are cleaning your home.
- If you or a family member has tested positive for COVID-19, or are feeling symptomatic, we ask that you cancel your appointment. We will waive the cancellation fee in these instances.
- Please remain six feet away from our team members as they clean your home.
Even as we have adapted to social distancing, there is much we still do not know about this virus. What we do know, however, is that there are methods to prevent the spread as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). In addition to practicing social distancing and advising you to follow the restrictions put in place by your county, we encourage you to take proper precautions to reduce the chance of spreading infection, including:
- Frequently washing your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, if not longer.
- Carry a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol and use it frequently.
- Keep hands away from your mouth, nose, and eyes – that is how most people get the virus.
- Cover your nose and mouth with the inside of your elbow when coughing or sneezing.
Busy Bee Cleaning Company is here for all of our clients during this pandemic. If you have any further questions, please contact one of our COVID-certified managers.
