Rate Changes and Additional Charges

Busy Bee Cleaning Company reserves the right to amend its rates at any time to allow for business-related cost increases. Additional charges may be necessary for the extra time typically required for initial cleanings, post-party cleaning, renovation cleanup, “picking-up” prior to actually cleaning, extended intervals between cleanings, additional service requests and/or the addition of pets, children, or roommates. Recurring Clients will be provided with a 14-day advanced notice of any permanent rate change affecting their account.

Payment Policy and Methods

Payment is due at the time of service. Reservations for service must be secured by means of a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, AmEx, or Discover). As protection against fraud, a 2-hour pre-charge fee at the determined hourly rate is required for Onetime, Seasonal, and First Time cleanings in order to verify the card number’s validity and minimum availability of funds. The card will be pre-authorized the day prior to the cleaning for the remaining quoted cleaning hours.  Credit card authorization agreement shall be required to serve as a back-up method of payment.  The client agrees to abide by all Credit Card Payment & Authorization Terms and Conditions

Use of Photos

We reserve the right to allow the supervisor to take pictures using company tablets when working in your home.  This pertains to unusual or unique circumstances or if the team experiences a situation that presents risk or danger to either the team or the client.  The photos will be securely stored in your client file.

Billing and Refunds

In agreeing to receive service from Busy Bee Cleaning Company, as witnessed by your subsequent request for service, you do so with the understanding (i) that whether receiving service at a flat-fixed rate or “by the hour”, all rates and pricing structures established by Busy Bee Cleaning Company shall be viewed and billed as simply “time & labor”; and (ii) that once “time & labor” has been extended to you that neither discounts, credits nor refunds shall be available to you from either Busy Bee Cleaning Company or the financial institution through which you have provided payment; and (iii) that you authorize and acknowledge Busy Bee Cleaning Company reserves the right to charge your account and credit card any and all applicable fees, fines and penalties as allowed for during the servicing of your account.

Service Guarantee

If on the rare occasion you’re not happy with your service, we’ll return to correct the work and to address any concerns you may have.  There are no refunds.

Holiday Tipping

If you are planning to provide a monetary gift for your team, please use the scorecard email, cash or gift cards in an envelope. We do not accept tips by checks. The industry standard for tipping is an amount equal to one service visit if you’ve been a customer all year and have been happy with service, otherwise use your discretion.

Returned Checks Due To Insufficient Funds

Clients whose check has been returned for insufficient funds, who stop payment on a check, or who have denied payment to Busy Bee Cleaning Company by means of an intentional will be assessed $35.00.

Inclement Weather – Office Closings and Delays

In the event of inclement weather, we will notify you by either text, email, or phone to provide a status if we intend to delay service or close for the day.  We will contact you about rescheduling your visit if we close for the day.  Please call the office at 610-430-6888 and inform of any unsafe, roadways, walkways or driveways close to your home.  For the safety of our employees, your driveway and designated entrance area must be cleared and salted in order for the team to access your home.


Irrespective of any personal, financial or service-related issues which may prompt you to terminate or temporarily suspend services provided by Busy Bee Cleaning Company, payment of all monies owed by you to Busy Bee Cleaning Company for time & labor previously rendered will still be required, with all terms and conditions remaining in full effect until all account balances have been paid in full. Withholding of any monies owed by you to Busy Bee Cleaning Company shall be met with all applicable fees, penalties, fines and court action as allowed and governed by the terms and conditions of this agreement, with you bearing the full financial responsibility for all of Busy Bee Cleaning Company’s court, attorney(s), administration, collection and/or arbitration costs.

Arrival Times

Due to logistical challenges arising out of potential shortages with staffing, traffic conditions or issues encountered when servicing other clients (such as lock-outs or extra, last-minute service requests), Busy Bee Cleaning Company can only provide arrival windows of about 3 hours. Whether we arrive sooner or later than your preferred arrival time, you will still be expected to maintain your appointment for service.  We will do our best to notify you of any changes.

Deadlines for Cancellations & Reschedules

Once your appointment for service has been solidified on our schedule, we set that space aside specifically for you. We also reserve the necessary staffing to attend to your cleaning, while turning other business and potential new clients away. Should you need to either cancel or reschedule a particular cleaning, we require you contact us by 9 AM the previous business day before your appointment. Cancellation requests made the business day before your service is considered late.  Clients scheduled on Mondays should contact the office no later than 4 PM the Friday before your cleaning.

Late Cancellation & Rescheduling Charges

Contact the office at the latest by 9 AM the day before your cleaning (Monday clients should call by 4 PM the  Friday before) to notify of a cancellation or reschedule request, otherwise, the account will be assessed a charge equal to one service visit charged to the credit card on file.

Lock-Outs, Re-Routes & Wait Time

If our team is either turned away at your door or simply unable to gain access to your home upon their arrival, an attempt will be made to contact you for assistance. If you cannot be reached or you refuse service, the team will be instructed to cancel the cleaning & move on to their next account. Such a scenario shall be viewed as a “Lock-Out”.  If you request for the team to wait for access you will be charged for the time at the current hourly rate.    All Lock-Outs are treated as late cancellations and will result in a charge as listed on the service agreement and automatically billed to your account & charged to your credit card on file. We will attempt to reach you in order to make arrangements to provide the cleaning.

Four Week Customers Skipping Cleanings

If a cleaning appointment is skipped which, in turn, results in a gap of 8 weeks between cleanings,  there will be an additional charge of $50. Clients with a gap of more than 8 weeks between visits will have their next scheduled cleaning treated like an initial cleaning and charged per hour at the current hourly rate in order to bring the home back to a maintenance level.

Equipment & Supplies

Busy Bee Cleaning Company makes use of its own supplies and equipment. Should you need us to use your own chemicals and/or equipment, please let us know. With that said, neither Busy Bee Cleaning Company’s owner, management nor staff will be held liable for equipment malfunction or property damage resulting from the use of your own personal equipment, supplies or chemicals. As a standing policy, our employees are under instruction not to use bleach or bleaching agents. Should you require, instruct and/or provide for use any bleach or bleaching agent, or any other chemical not so approved or supplied by Busy Bee Cleaning Company, you do so fully aware that neither Busy Bee Cleaning Company’s owner(s), agent(s), management, staff nor insurance provider shall be held liable for any harm, damage or claims arising out if its use. Additionally, although Busy Bee Cleaning Company (s) will do their best when asked to make use of someone else’s equipment & supplies, management cannot extend a service guarantee on the quality of the cleanings provided in the event we are asked to make use of equipment, supplies and/or chemicals other than our own.  A signed Liability Release form will be required for any client requested product or equipment Busy Bee Cleaning Company is instructed to use in the client home.  For more info on the chemicals & supplies we use along with our “Bleach Authorization” policy, please visit our Chemicals and Supplies

Damages or Breakages

Although each employee is trained to exercise the utmost care and caution when cleaning, accidents do occur from time to time. When damage/breakage occurs, employees are instructed to contact the office immediately, after that point someone from our management staff will contact you and follow the damage protocol in place. Please be aware: There are times when breakages occur due to “booby trapped” conditions. These are accidental breakages waiting to happen. Examples would be: pictures not fastened or hung securely, top-heavy items with unstable bases, wobbly objects and/or previously damaged or fragile items.  In light of such circumstances, Busy Bee Cleaning Company cannot take responsibility for accidents resulting from “booby trapped” conditions.  PLEASE NOTE: antiques, irreplaceable one-of-a-kind, and hard-to-find items are not covered by our Insurance Carrier’s breakage and loss policy (which means that in the event of damage/breakage, the cost of repair/replacement IS NOT COVERED OR REIMBURSABLE). Blinds and Shutters

We Dust blinds (teams are only equipped to do a superficial blind dusting).  Scrubbing or thorough cleaning requires a blind specialist  We will not re-position blinds or shutters for dusting to avoid incidental damage. They will be dusted in the original position in which the team finds them when arriving in your home. We will not assume liability for damage to these areas as they should be able to withstand the normal dusting process. Notify us if you would like to exclude any of these surfaces if you feel they are not suitable for cleaning.  We offer ultra-sonic blind cleaning if dusting is not sufficient. Call for details.

Solicitation of Employees

When hired, Busy Bee Cleaning Company employees sign a non-compete agreement barring them from performing any service for any past, present or prospective clients residing within our current service coverage area both during their employment and for a period of one full year following their departure or dismissal. Upon requesting service, all clients agree not to solicit, entice, or influence any current or previous employee still bound by their non-compete agreement to take care of their service needs, whether directly or indirectly, individually, or through a family member or other person or company, under penalty of a $4,500 finders fee assessed against their account, due & payable 30 days from the date of assessment. If you would like to hire, directly or indirectly, one of our current or previous employees who remain contractually obligated to their non-compete agreement, we would be happy to release them from their contract and bill your account a referral fee of $2,500. We consider our employees our most valuable asset and charge accordingly.

Electronic Communications

Communications between you and Busy Bee Cleaning Company shall include the use of electronic means, whether you visit our website or send us emails or text messages, or whether Busy Bee Cleaning Company posts notices on their website or communicates with you via email or text message. For contractual purposes, you (a) consent to receive communications from Busy Bee Cleaning Company in an electronic form; and (b) agree that all terms and conditions, agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications that Busy Bee Cleaning Company provides to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications would satisfy if it were in writing. The foregoing does not affect your non-waivable rights.

Entire Agreement, Changes to this Agreement & Waivers

These Terms of Service, together with any other legal notices published by Busy Bee Cleaning Company on their website or any printed material, shall constitute the entire agreement between you and Busy Bee Cleaning Company concerning Busy Bee Cleaning Company. We may change these Terms of Service from time to time on a going-forward basis, and any such modifications become effective immediately upon being posted to our website. It is your sole responsibility to check Busy Bee Cleaning Company’s website from time to time to view any such changes in their Terms of Service. If you do not agree to any changes, if and when such changes may be made, you must cease use of Busy Bee Cleaning Company’s services. Your use of Busy Bee Cleaning Company’s services after any modifications to the Terms of Service indicates that you agree to such modified Terms. Any changes to these Terms of Service (other than as set forth in this paragraph) or waiver of Busy Bee Cleaning Company’s rights henceforth shall not be valid or effective except in a written agreement bearing the physical signature of an officer of Busy Bee Cleaning Company. No purported waiver or modification of Busy Bee Cleaning Company Terms of Service by Busy Bee Cleaning Company via telephonic or email communications shall be valid.

Trash Removal and Emptying Paper Shredder Baskets

The teams will only collect and remove trash from your home that has been placed into wastebaskets.  We will not remove anything outside of wastebaskets to prevent accidental disposal of non-trash items.  We will not empty paper shredder baskets for liability reasons.
